Assistant Support Worker – Youth – Frampton Cotterell

We are looking for an assistant support worker to work with us to deliver a youth work evening for young people in School Year groups 6-9 (10-14 years old).

This will be on Tuesday evenings 6.30-8.30pm, so we are looking for staff who will work 6-9pm to include setup and debrief. You should be experienced in working with young people and preferably suited qualified. Our youth clubs run all year-round so there is expectation for staff to work all year-round. Staff do have 6 weeks paid holiday per year, with 4 of these weeks set during our compulsory ‘shutdown periods’, 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week at Easter and the last week of August.

Food Kiosk Supervisor – Pod in the Park

We are looking for an occasional part-time supervisor for our new social enterprise food kiosk ‘Pod in the Park’. The Pod employs adults with learning and social disabilities, so we are looking to recruit supervisors with experience and talent in both hospitality and working with adults and/or young people with additional support needs.

You should be passionate about serving great quality food and coffee, being part of positive community change and maintaining an enjoyable and friendly atmosphere.

We have limited hours currently to cover occasional holidays and sickness but this may change in the future as the Pod develops. There is no closing date but we encourage you to put in your application ASAP and once the vacancy is filled this job advertisement will be removed.

School holiday-time assistant support workers and volunteers for Bristol Autism Project! – ongoing

We have numerous ongoing vacancies for assistant support workers and volunteers for sessions during the Bristol school holidays. These are through the half terms, Easter, Christmas, and summer holidays. Please apply ASAP and we will contact you if shortlisted for one of our rolling interview days!

Volunteers wanted!

As mentioned above, we need volunteers for activities during school holidays to support our Bristol Autism Project sessions for children with autism and their families!

We are also looking for volunteers to support our Messy Hands sensory play group on Monday mornings and various opportunities at our evening youth groups for young people 7-12 yrs on Friday evenings, plus working with young people and adults with disabilities across Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 2 of our sites!

We need more help with our Silver Surfer’s group. This meets on Thursday mornings, 10.30am – 12.30pm. We need volunteers who are confident around computers to help our older folk with the basics of internet surfing, mouse/keyboard/computer skills and gaining more confidence with technology, including mobile phones and digital cameras.

All of these posts would involve completing an application form, DBS disclosure, and reference process.

We need volunteers who have a couple of hours a week to spare, who loves the outdoors who would be willing to maintain the outside of our property for us! We have some raised beds which need some attention and we hope to grow vegetables to use in our programme – the volunteer would be able to take some of the produce home! There is also the need for constant weeding and pruning around our car park area!


Trustees Wanted

We are also in need of new trustees, which is another voluntary role.  In order to have a balanced board we would ideally have applicants with skills in areas such as Community Development Work, Fundraising, Human Resources, Health and Safety, or Marketing.
