We have a vacancy for a detached & outreach youth support worker to join our team delivering great youth work in the Filton area!

Are you dedicated, passionate, and experienced in youth work? Are you a great leader and motivator of others? Do you enjoy working in the outdoors and able use your initiative to create spontaneous activities / discussions without a roof over your head? Are you community-minded and able to communicate with a range of people from all walks of life?

Then we’d love to hear from you!

We are constantly looking to widen our workforce, with staff on permanent, occasional, and term-time only contracts. This detached & outreach vacancy is a 2-year funded post, for just one evening a week, but we’d hope it may grow wider if funding allows.

Volunteers wanted!

We need volunteers who have a couple of hours a week to spare, who loves the outdoors who would be willing to maintain the outside of our property for us! We have some raised beds which need some attention and we hope to grow vegetables to use in our programme – the volunteer would be able to take some of the produce home! There is also the need for constant weeding and pruning around our car park area!

We need more help with our Facing Forwards group – a group for disabled or vulnerable adults. This group meets on Tuesdays, 10am-2.30pm. We need volunteers who are friendly, patient, and able to adapt their communication style easily who will work within a team, led by our Community Development Worker, to provide educational and social activities for members.

We need more help with our Silver Surfer’s group. This meets on Thursday mornings, 10-12noon. We need volunteers who are confident around computers to help our older folk with the basics of internet surfing, mouse/keyboard/computer skills and gaining more confidence with technology.
