Our Building

We have a great building space in the St Andrews Methodist Youth Centre, which is hired from the church next door and we utilise for most of our work when we can.

We also hire out the building too to help raise funds to pay the bills and which can support the charity’s work. There are booking conditions and these can be requested and arranged through the office. We do accommodate children’s birthday parties for our members or those known to us on weekend afternoons however we very rarely accommodate evening parties due to our proximity to our neighbours and not wanting to encourage large noisy gatherings in the evenings!

This is our main hall area, which can be used for larger meeting or events as well as games and parties. We have 2 pool tables and table tennis table, as well as volleyball & badminton net and we use the space for lots of activities including roller skating too!

This is our diner area which can be moved around as needed for arts/crafts, quizzes, food preparation, events, meetings, etc etc and opens on to the steps to the hall:

This is our small but functional and equipped kitchen space (We now have a new induction hob since this photo was taken!). The other end of the kitchen is our tuck shop area and fridge/freezer with hatches to the foyer/diner:

We have a ‘lounge room’ which can be used for smaller meetings and activities (including accessing big screen TV – cannot access TV, but can be used for DVDs or laptop presentations via HDMI – DVD player, karaoke, playstation, Wii, etc), which was redecorated for us by an NCS team in October 2017:

We have an IT suite ‘The Surf Shack’ with 8 PCs and interactive whiteboard:

We have a chill-out and sensory space called ‘the Tank’ with comfy seating areas, and things in the room of varying textures and colours; including UV Coral area, disco ball and lighting and a view through our fish tank in to the diner area:
